Yunnan Biluochun 2026
The leaves immediately catch the eye: curled into little snail-like spirals, they mingle with an abundance of downy, silvery-white buds, creating a striking contrast of white and green. Their fragrance evokes a meadow in bloom, accompanied by honey and ripe honeydew melon. A gentle note of cooked vegetables adds a savoury nuance to the sweet, floral aroma.
In the cup, a rounded honey sweetness unfolds, reminiscent of honey cake. Juicy melon and delicate white blossoms bring lightness to the flavour profile. The texture is particularly appealing: full-bodied and supple, the tea glides smoothly across the tongue, pairing its pronounced sweetness with a pleasantly viscous mouthfeel. When brewed more intensely, a slight astringency emerges in the finish. A sweet, fruity aftertaste reminiscent of fruit candy lingers long after the last sip.

For best results in gongfu cha, brew in a tall glass and fill with water before adding the leaves. Too high water temperature would burn the leaves, resulting in bitter taste.
