Yunsi 2026
An unmistakable expression of Yunnanese character. Though not widely known in the Western world for green tea, Yunnan proves its heritage with this compelling offering. While in previous years we have emphasised its rare ability to age well, this year we offer a fresh Yunsi that is already drinking beautifully.
From dry leaf to cup, the tea reveals a distinct nightshade character. When brewed with care, the liquor is creamy and aromatic, evoking roasted aubergine layered with fresh herbs. Its energy is lively and vibrant, in line with the region’s signature profile. Equally enjoyable in a gaiwan, tall glass, or as a cold brew, this is a versatile tea with personality and excellent value.

For best results in gongfu cha, brew in a tall glass and fill with water before adding the leaves. Too high water temperature would burn the leaves, resulting in bitter taste.
